The funny thing about late-night review writing is the little annoyances that cause you to lose your concentration and beauty sleep. One example would have to be that almost every night around midnight the same car drives down the road blasting their bass while they go off on their shenanigans. You can tell it’s hip-hop because the blasting of their subwoofer makes you twitch every time it goes off.

Considering this album to be of the “dirty-south” variety, I feel as though tonight I shall dream a rather pleasant dream. I dream that I would walk out in my robe and blue fuzzy slippers, wave them down, hand them a copy of C-Micah’s “The Infallible Truth,” and pray that they will not only be touched by the truth Mr. Micah is spitting, but also play it annoyingly loud to catch every word and be changed by it. Who knows, they might get saved and find out that they should respect the neighborhood and play their music at a lower decibel. But I digress.

Musically, this album’s production sounds almost identical to Mr. Del’s previous work. Ironically, he makes a guest appearance on “Lev 11:45,” which is one of the highlights on the record. While I loved the bangin’ testimonial “Flesh Rapper,” and the perfect feature-filled “OMG!!!,” I found that most of the songs were hit-and-miss. A good example would have to be “Oldman” and “What Is It.” While the songs were good, they were hindered by the background vocals especially for their choruses.

I recommend this album if you’re a fan of southern rap. If you’re interested in this album, be sure to pick up a few copies and give them to your local neighborhood late-night cruisers. At least it will glorify God in the end if you give them this CD. –  christianmusiczine.com
